The virtualization team is responsible for a large, shared infrastructure with over 12000 VM’s using VMware virtualization technologies. Apart from the shared platform, the team also manages some quite large, dedicated VMware infrastructures and few Oracle Virtualization environments. The team spans across two countries (Romani and Belgium) and ensures that the quality of the services provided is at the highest level. Our colleagues are working from Monday to Friday according to a flexible work-schedule defined within the team. Our service delivery model follows the ITIL framework which means that, the specific standards for the procedures and operational flows, implemented corporate-wide, will also guide and support your tasks and responsibilities. #LI-DNI

• Enable automation of customer requests like extending disks, adding vCPU’s etc.
• You will be involved in project work (such as upgrades, migrations, etc.) and proactive management of the different environments.
• Resolving incidents that might occur on the platforms (Example: crash of an ESXi host or the vCenter that doesn’t respond as it should), but those types of incidents are rare.
• When it comes to team interaction and communication, we have short daily meetings using the Kanban technique, thus sharing an overview at team-level regarding the workload and tasks in progress. 

• 6-10 years of experience in a similar role
• BSc or MSc in Information Technology
• Proven experience in following areas: X86 server virtualization software, in particular VMware ESX(i) and a good understanding of basic network and shared storage concepts
• Nice to have: VCP certificate, knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V and/or Oracle Virtualization, Automation through Javascript, Ansible, Python or Powershell
• Analytical, technical and diagnostic skills
• Strong desire to adopt new technologies and keep the pace with an ever growing customer and technology base
• You bring structure in your work and you have a result-driven attitude, with a keen eye for quality
• Adaptability to constant changing business priorities
• Openness towards improvement and commitment to taking initiative
• Team spirit and involvement in the development of the team
